Statement of Faith

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, as inerrant in its original writings, and as the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Isa. 43:10; John 1:1-2; Matt 3:13-17, 28:19)

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, was sinless, and is true God and true man. (Matt 1:20-23; Phil. 2:5-11; Isa. 7:14)

We believe that man and woman were created in the image of God; that they sinned, and thereby incurred both physical death and spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all men and women since are born with a sinful nature, causing them to sin in thought, word and deed. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:23, 6:23)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified solely on the ground of His shed blood. (1 Pet. 3:18; 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 5:8, 17, 6:23)

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven and that in His present life, He is our High Priest and Advocate. (John 20:1-16; Acts 1:9; Heb. 4:14-16)

We believe in the blessed hope of the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (1 Thess. 4:16-18; Acts 1:11; John 14:3)

We believe that all who receive, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God. (1 Thess. 5:5; 1 John 3:1-2)

We believe that the Holy Spirit baptizes each believer once, at the moment of conversion, and indwells the believer thereafter. (Titus 3:5; 1 Cor. 12:4-7, 13)

We believe that believers are filled with the Holy Spirit, as they yield control of their lives to Christ. (Eph. 4:30; Gal. 5:16-18)

We believe the evidence of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit is the fruit of the Holy Spirit in one’s life. (1 John 3:6; Gal. 5:22)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28-29; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; Rev. 20:15)

We believe in the Church, the bride of Christ, comprised of the whole body of those who have been born in the Spirit, and its local expression established for worship, mutual edification and witness. (Eph. 5:25-30; Rom. 12:4-9; John 13:35)
